For the cake:
All-purpose flour

Instructions

Make the cake:

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, cloves, baking powder, and orange zest. whisk together and set aside. In another large mixing bowl combine the oil, sugar, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and yogurt. whisk together until smooth. Add the dry ingredients in 2-3 batches and whisk together until just combined. In a small bowl combine the apples and walnuts and add 2 tablespoons of flour. Toss together and fold into the batter.

Make the topping:

In a bowl whisk together the flour, salt, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut the butter into small cubes and mix it into the flour. Press it together using your fingers.

Bake the cake:

Grease a springform pan with baking spray or olive oil. Add the batter to the pan. Top with the crumb topping and nestle the apple slices into the topping. Place the pan over a baking tray and bake on the center rack of the preheated oven for 80-90 minutes or until a toothpick that has been inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean or with a few crumbs attached.
Allow the cake to cool for 20 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter and serve with coffee.
