Salt
Sugar
Yeast
Water
Gouda
Eggs
Milk

Instructions

Mix flour with salt, sugar and dry yeast in a bowl. Add lukewarm water and knead everything for 3 min. on highest speed with the dough hooks to a smooth dough. Grate the cheese, add half to the dough and knead in briefly with your hands. Cover and let rest for approx. 30 min.
Knead dough on a lightly floured work surface and divide into 8 equal portions. Shape into balls and place on a baking tray covered with baking paper and let rest for about 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 180°C (convection oven: 160°C). Whisk egg with milk. Brush rolls with it and sprinkle generously with remaining cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
