Homemade Hummus

The classic chickpea and sesame based spread. Using canned chickpeas and bottled Tahini it is super easy to make so there is no excuse to buy ready made hummus.

Ingredients
| Cooked chickpeas | |
| Water | |
| Garlic | |
| Lemons | |
| Tahini | |
| Salt | |
| Pepper | |
| Cumin | |
| Olive oil |
Instructions
Drain chickpeas in a colander. Set aside a few for garnish. Peel garlic clove. Cut lemon in half and squeeze.
In a chopper or food processor, finely puree garlic clove, lemon juice and cold water. Add chickpeas, sesame paste and spices. Blend until a creamy consistency is achieved. If necessary, add a little water if the spread is still too firm.
Season to taste with additional spices if necessary. Transfer the hummus to a nice bowl and serve with the chickpeas set aside and the olive oil.
