Applesauce Cake
A moist cake made with applesauce as a key ingredient, which not only adds a natural sweetness to the cake, but also helps to keep it moist. It's flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice and also includes pecans to give it extra texture and flavor. This delicious cake is great for autumn and winter.

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Sift the flour with the salt, baking soda, and all the spices. Beat the butter and sugar for 2 minutes and then beat in the eggs one at a time.
When the batter is smooth, start adding the flour mixture in increments, 1/3 flour, then 1/3 applesauce, and so on until all are incorporated. Add the pecans and pour into a greased cake pan.
Bake for about 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool it then unmold it and serve with some applesauce and nuts if you wish. Cake is delicious accompanied by black coffee or tea.
